Welcome to Eco Clean!

Eco Clean Active Initiative is a youth-led, registered non-governmental organization founded in 2019 with United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) observer status, dedicated to addressing environmental issues, promoting the welfare of the environment, and achieving a sustainable development across the globe.

Our mission is to protect and preserve the environment for habitation through environmental awareness campaign, community mobilization and engagement, capacity building, advocacy and strategic project implementation, which will serve as a valuable asset for people and a sustainable development while we envision a clean, healthy, habitable and sustainable environment.

The organizational programs are aligned with the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with a focus on Goal 13 (Climate Action), Goal 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), Goal 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation) and Goal 3 (Good health and well-being).

Eco Clean for MAPA (Most Affected People and Areas) project is a theory of change that aimed to change environmental behavior, address environmental problems, and mitigate climate change in Northern Nigeria in order to achieve a sustainable environment.

At the end of the project, one thousand eight hundred and seventy (1,870) people were reached in twenty-three (23) communities of Nigeria, and over six hundred and thirty-five (635) people were empowered with knowledge, production of briquettes, and trees for planting.
The Eco Clean for MAPA hub center was also established and used for environmental sustainability activities and practices.
