COVID-19 RESPONSE AND RECOVERY

COVID19 was announced in Nigeria on 27th February, 2020, when an Italian citizen in Lagos tested positive for the virus. A second case was reported on 9th May, 2020.

On the 22nd April, 2020, the first case was reported in Adamawa state with the cases of COVID-19 increasing causing the governments both at Federal and State levels to take strategic measures to flatten the curve of transmission, including the use of face mask, hand sanitizers, social distancing and implementation of lockdown order in several states of the country, especially worst hit states.

Eco Clean Active Initiative identified these challenges among the citizens and a gap of the information on the COVID-19 guidelines for prevention. Therefore, carried out sensitization awareness about COVID-19 and the guidelines by the NCDC and WHO for the prevention of the spread of the virus.
