We are thrilled to share highlights of Eco Clean Active Initiative’s engagement at the recently concluded 62nd Session of the UNFCCC Subsidiary Bodies (SB62).

This key session brought together global climate actors to accelerate meaningful action on climate change. Our delegation included:

  • 2 onsite delegates

  • 5 virtual delegates
    from Nigeria and beyond, contributing to the discussions and amplifying the voices of those most impacted by the climate crisis.

Key Takeaways from SB62

The session echoed a strong message: we must act further, faster, and fairer.

 Adaptation Strategies

Adaptation must be prioritized alongside mitigation to build resilience in vulnerable communities.

 Climate Finance

Calls for greater inclusion of agriculture in climate finance highlighted its crucial role in climate solutions and livelihoods.

 Urgency in Action

The UN Climate Change Executive Secretary urged countries to move with greater urgency and fairness.

 Negotiations & Outcomes

While debates continued, especially over finance, support, and the balance between adaptation and mitigation, progress was made toward shaping policies ahead of COP30.

 Youth Engagement

We proudly joined the Bonn Climate Camp, engaging with inspiring youth activists who advocate for equity and justice in climate action.

Gender Action Plan Activities – advancing gender equity in climate efforts
Methane Reduction & Agro-Ecology – promoting sustainable farming and lower methane emissions
Faith Perspectives on Climate Justice – exploring faith’s role in sustainability and peace
Women in Renewable Energy – unlocking the potential of women in climate policy and finance
Youth Leadership and Inclusion – advocating for meaningful youth representation in negotiations
African Civil Society Lens – demanding actionable commitments from African leaders
